A delicious snack made with simple ingredients that also happens to be healthy!
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups pitted dates
1/3 cup tahini or nut butter
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup walnuts
pinch of salt
1 cup shredded coconut (optional)
Preparation
In a food processor, puree the dates, tahini or nut butter, walnuts, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract. Scrape down the sides of the processor a few times to make sure everything gets combined.
Remove from food processor and roll into 1-inch balls. You might have to squeeze them in your hands a few times to get them as condensed as possible, then roll them between your palms.Â
Optional: Roll the balls in unsweetened shredded coconut.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks!
