Weekly Pack Out
Help sort and pack produce from local farms in preparation for Food Recovery's weekly distribution.
Pantry Service
Help us organize and restock to pantry, or help distribute food during the Greenwich or Cossayuna Pantry services. Once you fill out the form, you will receive welcome information and a link to sign up for specific shifts.
The Glean Team
During the harvest season, we have the opportunity to recover donated food from local farms through harvesting the food directly from the fields! We need a group of volunteers on hand to come help pick blueberries, dig for potatoes, and harvest squash whenever the opportunity may arise! For this volunteer activity, it is best to be able to bend and lift about 30 lbs. Sign up using the link below and indicate your interest in Farm Gleaning!
Food Recovery Ride-Along
We currently have an opportunity to join CFC on the road! Our Food Recovery team is looking for a volunteer to assist our driver, Rich, on the Thursday distribution route. This is a regular 8:30am to 1pm shift that starts and ends at our Food & Farm Hub on Fiddler's Elbow Road in Greenwich.
The job consists of riding in our box truck with our driver Rich and helping unload food for our Community Health program at the Moreau Health Center, four libraries as part of the Farm2Library program and up to eight pantry and agency partners. You will need to help discern what boxes have been slated for each site and be able to lift up to 50 pounds, though we do try to keep the boxes lighter than this. Supporting documents and training will be provided.
This is a distribution route through Warren and Washington counties. You will have the opportunity to meet many of the people who make up CFC's food access network as well as the individuals who benefit from the work we do here at the Food & Farm Hub!

Our volunteers are the beating heart of this organization. We could not meet the needs of the community without your help. Thank you.
